What is Osteopathy? An Overview
Osteopathy is primarily focused on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions relating to the muscular and skeletal systems. Due to their considerable importance in the body, several conditions can arise as a result of a malfunction or illness that affects these systems; these may include problems associated with the nervous, digestive and circulatory systems. Osteopathy is founded on the basis that a healthy musculo-skeletal system will provide a good foundation for a healthy body.
Osteopathy is often considered as a form of preventive measure, as well as a healing and rehabilitation process and a recognised form of treatment. Most osteopathic treatment is carried out in the absence of medication or invasive surgery; this is widely considered as a holistic approach to medicine.
